Oklahoma 3A Cross Country Final Rankings 2018: Marietta Keeps Rolling

The September 30th, 2018 3A polls had Marietta on top of both sides, and for the umpteenth time this decade, the state meet agreed. Marietta’s program spent the 2010s turning the 3A polls into a formality — four straight girls’ titles from 2013 to 2016, and the machine kept humming in 2018.

Girls’ poll, September 30th: Marietta, Sequoyah Tahlequah, Community Christian, Cascia Hall, Alva. State: Marietta 54, Sequoyah Tahlequah 89. The poll’s 1-2 held in order, 35 points apart. Business as usual in Marietta.

Boys’ poll, September 30th: Marietta, Sequoyah Tahlequah, Kiefer, Marlow, O.C.S. State: Marietta 58, Kiefer 106. The champion was the poll’s No. 1; the runner-up was the poll’s No. 3. A 48-point margin — the poll predicted the winner and the meet turned it into a rout.

Comanche’s Jaylee Miller won the girls’ individual title; Marietta’s Zane Nutter won the boys’ crown — his second 3A individual title to go with 2016.

Marietta swept 3A again — the poll called it, the meet confirmed it, and the dynasty rolled on like it always does.
